Check Valve Selection to Minimize Waterhammer

1-Part Live Webinar

Overview

This webinar will provide an overview of check valve selection and sizing to help minimize waterhammer effects. Waterhammer occurs in all liquid pumping systems and the type of check valve installed can have a significant effect on the pressure response with regards to transient flow. The presenter will cover common check valve operational problems and analytical methods covered in case studies.

Learning Objectives:

• Overview of waterhammer and basic causes
• Reasons for using check valves within a hydraulic system
• Knowledge of the different types of check valves
• Learn how to correctly select a check valve
• Solving valve operational problems within a system
• Summary of check valve response, slam, and performance characteristics
