This webinar will provide an overview of failure modes for flexible couplings in pumping applications.  The presenter will cover the different coupling types and the most common failure modes for each, along with visual examples and failure root causes.  Learn the basics of identifying the cause of coupling failures and troubleshooting the pump system to correct these issues.

Scott is the Couplings Engineering Manager at Regal Rexnord.  He has 15 years of experience in coupling design, application, and sales for the Kop-Flex and Jaure brands.  Scott has been published in Turbomachinery International Magazine, the Korea Rotating Machinery Symposium, and the Ethylene Producers’ Conference and holds a US Patent.  Prior to his current role, Scott managed new product development for the Power Transmission Solutions business unit and oversaw the coupling research and development lab.  Scott formerly worked in the industrial coatings industry and has a BS in Materials Science & Engineering from Cornell University.

Chad Brown

Application Engineering Manager – BMH & PTC

Dodge Industrial

Chad is the Application Engineering Manager for Bulk Material Handling Systems and Power Transmission Components at Dodge Industrial.  His team works with customers to select belted drives, conveyor pulleys and couplings for applications in a variety of industries.  In his 19 years with Dodge he has had roles in electric motor manufacturing, electric motor applications and gearing product management.  Prior to joining Dodge he worked in the steel industry which included maintenance responsibility for an industrial water treatment plant.  Chad has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an MBA from Clemson University.
