Positive Displacement (PD) Pumps e-Learning Course
Provides Overview on Technology, Pump Selection and Application
One of two basic pump types (rotodynamic being the other), a positive displacement pump is a constant torque, direct acting device that moves fluid through pressurization. Choosing between a rotodynamic or positive displacement pump for an application requires an understanding of pump types.
The Positive Displacement (PD) Pumps e-Learning from the Hydraulic Institute provides a basic overview of this technology. This program covers these critical areas:
Module 1: Why Positive Displacement Pumps?
Module 2: Positive Displacement Hydraulics
Module 3: Fundamentals, Design & Applications of Rotary Pumps
Module 4: Fundamentals, Design & Applications of Reciprocating/Rotary Pumps
Module 5: Fundamentals, Design & Applications of Controlled Volume Metering Pumps
The PD Pumps e-Learning Course is ideally suited for engineers, designs, maintains, installs, manufactures, specifies, sells, distributes or consults on pumps. The program offers five professional development hours and a certificate of completion from the Hydraulic Institute. Attendees must have a fundamental understanding of pumps and hydraulic technology.
