Overview:

With energy efficiency and system optimization leading a shift in the pump industry, there is a growing need for pump system professionals with the knowledge and experience to perform high-quality assessments to benchmark current systems and recommend system upgrades. Pump system training provides professionals with the knowledge and tools to perform system assessments and the Pump Systems Assessment Professional (PSAP) Certification provides third-party validation of an individual’s proficiency in pump fundamentals, pump system optimization techniques, and implementation of pump system assessments.

This course is designed to prepare an individual to take the PSAP Certification Exam. HI offers remote online-proctored exams as a safe, secure, and easy way to take the certification exam via MonitorEDU. The exam preparation session provides attendees the resources and tools to be comfortable with the certification exam process, virtual exam platform and realistic questions covering all the knowledge areas.

The instructor will guide the attendees through the application requirements, exam platform and scheduling and what to expect on the day of the exam.  Following the overview, the attendees have the opportunity to take a realistic practice exam via the same electronic platform, and the instructor the spends explaining each practice exam question.

Learning Level - Advanced:

This level of training is designed for individuals with a strong foundational knowledge and experience who seek to enhance their broad skills and knowledge. Advanced training delves into complex concepts, analysis, design, optimization, and problem solving.  It is intended that participants in this course have taken Pump & System Fundamentals and the Pump System Optimization courses or have knowledge of the topics covered in the courses.

Audience:

This course is perfect for technical professionals looking to expand their knowledge and get their Pump System Assessment Professional (PSAP) certification. Individuals with a technical background, who have basic and intermediate level knowledge on pumps and systems, including experience technical sales, system designers, and engineers.

Learning Objectives:

• Review PSAP certification application requirements, domains, tasks, and body of knowledge outlined by the Hydraulic Institute.
• Review examination scheduling and test taking requirements.
• You will have a chance to a sample test that should give you a realistic test taking experience.
• The instructor will review each sample test question in detail following you allotted time limit to take the sample test.
• The instructor will also provide you the opportunity to work through additional sample questions, and the instructor will review the answer to each in detail.

Course Instructions:

1. Click the Contents tab and select "View Live Session".  After the session is completed, return to the Contents tab.
2. Click "Complete Quiz for Live Course" to answer quiz questions. You will have unlimited attempts and must get at least 80% correct to proceed. After completing the quiz, return to the Contents tab.
3. Click "Complete Course Evaluation" to provide your feedback on the course to PSM. Scroll down to view all feedback questions, there are questions that expand past the size of the window. 
4. Click the button “View/Print Your Certificate” in the box titled “Claim Credits & Certificate to save or print your certificate of completion. If you ever lose your certificate, you can come back to the PSM website and view it on your transcript (found in the Dashboard).
5. During the Q&A portion of the training sessions, questions are welcome that relate to the material presented and the instructor will do their best to address them within the context of the training provided. If time does not permit addressing questions received, we’ll make our best effort to provide an answer via email.
6. Please note that the instructor is not able to provide consulting advice or interpretations of standards; therefore, these types of questions will not be addressed by the instructor.

The instructor will do their best to address them within the context of the training provided.
