Training Program Overview:

This training bundle is designed for educators and students to introduce them to important pump and system concepts. Students can earn a certificate of completion and educators can incorporate into their teaching to provide students specific industry knowledge from the authority on pumps and systems. The training curriculum includes:

  • Introductory Pump & System Training (Six learning modules with quizzes and final exam)
  • System Curve, Pump Curve and Affinity Rule Learning Activity
  • Pump System Energy Calculation Learning Activity

All training is On-Demand, and includes video instruction, knowledge resources, and quizzes and learning activities to reinforce the learning objectives.

Learning Level: Introductory and Basic

Introductory level training provides awareness and an overview of the topic. The content is informative and aims to familiarize participants with key concepts, terminology and resources.

Basic level training provides foundational understanding of a topic and develops basic competencies.

Audience:

Anyone new to the topic that is looking for entry-level instruction and learning opportunity. Great for new engineers, operators and maintenance, sales or students looking to broaden their knowledge.

Educators are encouraged to review these materials and incorporate in their teaching to provide students specific industry knowledge.

Attendees will leave with a introductory knowledge and understanding of pumps and their function.     This six (6) module training is designed to provide attendees the introductory knowledge on all aspects of the pump, system and components. Attendees will leave with introductory knowledge and common understanding of pumps and their systems. 

    Modules:

    Module 3: Introduction to Fluid Properties

    Module 4: Introduction to System Hydraulics 

    Module 5: Introduction to Basic Operational theory

    Each module is approximately 10 - 15 minutes and is followed by a short quiz to confirm your understanding of the topic.

    Audience:

    Any person who is interested in or sees themselves as a future employee in Pump or fluid handling Industry will benefit from this training. This is the starting point for anyone consuming training provided by the Hydraulic Institute and Pump Systems Matter. In particular the topics within this training should be understood before attending the Pump and System Fundamentals On-Demand Training.
