Overview:

This webinar mechanical seal failures, what to do in the event of such an occurrence, and how to properly investigate them. This presentation discusses the typical failure modes of major mechanical seal components and their common causes. In addition to this information, the webinar provides real-world examples of damaged mechanical seal components.

Learning Level – Intermediate:

Intermediate level training is designed for individuals who have some experience and basic understanding of the topic. It builds upon basic concepts and expands the breadth and depth of understanding supporting the development of skills. It is recommended that attendees complete basic level training on mechanical seals prior to attending this course.

Audience:

This course is designed for individuals with basic knowledge of mechanical seals or those who need a refresher, including pump system operators, maintenance personnel, pump system designers and owners, technical sales, and engineers.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand how the entire pumping system affects mechanical seal performance and influences seal failures.
  • Know the common failure modes for the major mechanical seal components.
  • Obtain information on how to properly troubleshoot mechanical seal failure.

Webinar Instructions

  1. Click the Contents tab and select "View Webinar".  After the webinar is completed, return to the Contents tab.

He received his Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from St. Louis University and has worked in the seal industry since 2012.
