Overview:

This webinar presents the best practices for installing a mechanical seal in a pump, preparing the piping plan system, and then monitoring performance during pump startup. Anyone involved in this process appreciates the importance of proper equipment startup with respect to safety, environmental controls, and pump reliability. The instructor will provide clear and practical recommendations based on field proven techniques in all types of end user facilities.

Learning Level - Basic:

This level of training is designed for individuals who are new to the subject matter. It covers basic concepts, skills, and practices. Participants acquire a foundational understanding of the topic and develop basic competencies.

Audience:

This course is designed for individuals looking to gain a basic knowledge of mechanical seals or those who need a refresher, including pump system operators, maintenance personnel, pump system designers and owners, technical sales, and engineers.

  • Implement best practices for mechanical seal installation into pumps.
  • Be able to verify the connections and interconnecting piping of piping plans.
  • Understand how to commission piping plan systems prior to pump startup.
  • Implement best practices for monitoring seal and piping plan systems after pump startup.

Webinar Instructions

  1. Click the Contents tab and select "View Webinar".  After the webinar is completed, return to the Contents tab.
  2. Click "Complete Quiz for Webinar" to answer quiz questions. You will have 10 attempts and must get at least 80% correct to proceed. After completing the quiz, return to the Contents tab.
  3. For webinar series, continue this process until you complete all the webinar sessions.
