Overview:

This webinar details methods to calculate a pump system curve including, frictional head loss, elevation head, and pressure head. Additionally, you’ll learn how the pump curve and system curve interact and the methods to modify the pump and system curves to control the operating point.

Learning Level – Intermediate:

This level of training is designed for individuals who have some experience and knowledge in the subject matter. It builds upon the foundational concepts and expands the breadth and depth of understanding. Participants develop more advanced skills and competencies.

Audience:

This course is for individuals who are working in the pump and fluid handling industry and are looking to improve their technical competencies. This course covers topics any experienced engineer in the industry should master and will help experienced technical sales, maintenance and operations advance in their career.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, attendees should be able to:

  • Calculating the system curve including frictional head loss, pressure head, and elevation head.
  • Understanding the pump curve and how it changes with speed, parallel and series pumping.
  • How the pump and system curve interaction determine the operating point.
  • Control methods to varying the operating point including variable speed, parallel and series pumping, staging, and throttling and bypass controls.
